The Arundel Floor Lamp provides a unique lighting technique of a soft diffused light shining through Shoji Rice paper and the indirect lighting effect from the light shining upward. The gentle flowing curved Cherry wood posts support an inverted shade also crafted from Cherry with a re-enforced rice paper. The lamp as shown uses Black Walnut accents support the shade, base and legs. A dual socket with pull chains is provided for two 100 watt light bulbs. CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) are highly recommended to minimize the heat. A 10 foot is cord eliminated the need for an extra extension cord.

Imagine writing your next novel at this desk or maybe just a letter to a friend. The desk as shown in multiple woods is made from Cherry and Birds Eye Maple.  The Birds Eye Maple Panels wrap around the sides and the back of the desk. Birds Eye beading wraps at the base of each leg. The desk has multiple cubby  compartments for letters and bills There are four small drawers  and two large drawers. In front there is a slide out compartment for your laptop with a lock to secure it.

The Bass Harbor Coat Tree makes a wonderful accessory for your home. The coat tree comes in three styles, tapered, octagonal and square with chamfered edges. The legs and hooks have a gentle curve to them. The coat tree can hold four hats and coats. The legs have a spread of over 19 inches preventing tipping. The Berwick File Cabinet is a fine compliment to any of my desks. It is functional in design, which includes two 20 inch deep file draws. Each file drawer is on ball bearing 150 pound drawer slides. Each drawer can be removed by pressing two tabs. Included are file hanger support rails and a file index follower to keep your files forward in the drawer.

No entry way should be without this decorative mirror and coat rack. Hang up to four or five coats and or hats. We use Baldwin solid brass hardware. A dentil molding top plate brings a classic old world look to the Biddeford. Hanging hardware is provided to securely fasten the Biddeford to the wall.

The Blue Hill Bookcase was custom designed for a client to hold large Art Books. The piece uses a combination of Flame Birch for the shelves and top, Yellow Birch for the frame and Walnut for the accents. Other sizes and configurations can be tailored to your specific need. Please inquire.

The Boothbay Chest of five drawers with its deep main drawers makes an ideal furniture piece for either a man or woman’s clothes. The chest matches the rest of the bedroom furniture in the series like the Boothbay Dresser and the Boothbay Night Stand. The piece shown is made from solid cherry with solid ash drawers. The four main drawers are 9 1/4 inches deep and the top drawer is 5 1/2 inches. All Boothbay pieces have the gentle curved front on the top with the cove underside edge detail giving each piece that thin crisp looking top edging. The all drawers are dovetailed and are supported by solid raised panel separator. All drawers sit on dust shelves. The Boothbay Mirror compliments the Boothbay Bedroom series. The mirror comes in a variety of sizes and of course any of our standard wood species. This mirror was done in cherry and has walnut inlays in each of the corners. The cove detail classic to the Boothbay series lines the perimeter of the mirror. The mirror is designed to hang from the wall. Other mounting options are available.

This beautiful bookcase series comes in several sizes each with adjustable shelves. The solid wood construction uses classic mortise and tenon as well as dovetail joinery to secure the sides to the front and back. The panels on the sides and back float in a concealed dado joint. Characteristic of the Boothbay series, the top and shelves have the coved edge detail to reveal a crisp delicate edge yet made from thicker wood for strength. The top side edges also have a gentle curved edge instead of a traditional squared off top. Again this matches the detail found on other Boothbay furniture pieces. This piece is just as beautiful from the back with its beautiful floating panels that it can be used as room divider. This piece is made from cherry with hand selected birds eye maple panels. Compliment your dining room with this beautiful serving buffet table. The buffet table as shown was done in solid cherry with a light stain to match a customer’s chairs. The table dimensions in the photograph are 72w x 24d x 30h. The top has a gentle curving front with the characteristic Boothbay series underside cove detail to give that elegant thin edge. The front skirt is also cuved to match that of the top. Optionally one or two drawers can be added.

The Boothbay Card Table is ideal for those folks that want a beautiful folding table to play cards, assemble that new puzzle or just for some temporary table space. This all wood table has the characteristic coved edge Boothbay detail to give the appearance of the thin crisp edge on a solid top. The Boothbay Curved Night Stand like our living room end tables brings a simple elegance of straight sides and gently tapered legs. The top has a curved front to match the front frame and a coved machined finish around the edge revealing a thin delicate edge. The bottom shelf also has a curved front lip to match the contour of the top. The shelf is spaced three inches from the bottom to easily vacuum underneath. Like many of our other models a three drawer model is available or a piece that has one drawer and a door covering the shelf.

The legs are removeable to allow for ease in transporting the table. The table top can be made either with square corners or the overall table can have a gentle elliptical curve along all sides (priced separately). Shown in the picture is a custom configuration made from solid cherry, done for a customer that included attaching Boothbay Buffet tables to either end. The buffet tables latched to the main table. This table configuration seats 18 comfortably in a 144 long x 72 inch wide table. Note only a square corner design can be used on the main table in this configuration.

The Boothbay Dresser shown here in cherry has six deep drawers which are 9 1/4″ deep. The finish is a combination oil, varnish and wax to given a soft sheen. The Top has the traditional coved top that gives the appearance of being thin at the edge, but is an inch thick. The top also has a gentle bow when viewed from the top. The drawer frames are made form solid ash with raised panel bottom. Each layer of drawers is separated by a dust tray. The back is finished as well. The Boothbay Media Center is designed for your home theater to hold your DVDs, CDs and of course your Home Theater Equipment. The piece in the picture is made from Cherry. This media center can support your Plasma or LCD monitor on top or can be simply placed in front of your projection screen. There are two slide out base shelves to allow for easy access to the back of the equipment. Two adjustable upper shelves are provided for other equipment. The back is made from six raised panels. and contains four wire access ports and two cooling ports.

An optional Power and data port (2 USB ports, an Ethernet Port and a Phone Port) distribution unit is available. There are also numerous hooks for securing the wiring to your external components and speakers. The cabinet can hold over 300 CDs or 120 to 130 DVDs or a combination of both. There are adjustable shelves to set up the shelves for your individual collection of media. There are wiring ports for power, audio and video cable so they pass between neighboring equipment bays. The tables shown here are crafted from Walnut and Birdseye Maple. Through wedge mortises are used on the legs to add strength provide a view of some fine handcrafted joinery. The top has a scalloped underside around the tabletop giving the appearance of a thin elegant edge. The unit easily folds to be stored when not in use. The finish is hand rubbed oil with a waterproof varnish for the top to give added protection.

The Cape Neddick 4 Post Mission Lamp comes in three different sizes and several model types. Each model consists of a solid base with four extending posts. All models have the classic multitiered top using the primary wood for the main pieces and a contrasting wood for the thin layers. Shown is our 48″ floor model with a built in night lamp and a Frank Lloyd Wright Style lattice detail over the night light section. Other models include a 26″ table model with a night light and a floor model without the night light. Last is a 16″ table lamp with the classic four posts (not shown).

It is suggested you supply your own shade and finial to suit your personal taste. Note, all lamps use UL/CSA approved parts. All lamps come with either 8 or 10 foot cords instead of the typical 6 foot cord and have dual single pull chain or a single three way sockets with solid brass shells.

The mission style bed shown here is done in Ash with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish that lets the beauty of the wood grain show. This finish produces a warm creamy glow to the wood.This bed can be ordered without the mission style footer. A Maine Cottage style footer can be substituted if a simpler look is desired. All beds come standard with a four-piece removable platform to hold the mattress. The bed does not require a box spring. If a box spring is desired the height of the platform can be adjusted.

The Cape Neddick under bed storage unit provides a efficient way of utilizing the space under a bed. The solid wood constructed piece has beautiful raised panel sides, top and back. A beading detail characteristic of the Cape Neddick Bed runs along the top and bottom of the piece and each drawer. It is almost too bad such a gorgeous piece will be under a bed. The piece shown has two drawers 24d x 20 1/2w x 7h. The drawers are mounted on heavy duty ball bearing slides allow each drawer to hold heavy items. The piece has four very low profile ball casters to allow the unit to be moved from under the bed. Two units can easily be accommodated on a full, queen or king size beds for storage on both sides of the bed. An important detail when ordering is to know the height of the bed rail on the bed to allow for proper clearance.

A local Maine Church required a place to store their parishioners name tags. The case holds between 170-190 Name Tags based on a tag size of about 2.5″ wide by 2″ high. The unit hangs from the wall. The Episcopal Church had their cabinet mounted in the corner, which required a special bracket, but can easily be hung on a flat surface. A clear plastic grip channel is used to support the tags. The piece is made from solid Cherry for the frame and furniture grade Cherry plywood for the back and door panels. The finish is a hand rubbed oil with a top coat of beeswax.

The Remembrance Case hangs in the lobby of this local church. The front cover, which folds down is secured by a lock and is supported by two brass chains. The case is made from Cherry and the glass is tempered.

This piece is simplistic in design and perfect for the cottage. The straight legs of this four posted bed conveys simplicity, but with a sturdy capability. No box spring is required as the mattress rests on a firm removable platform supported by the bed rails.

The Maine Cottage Table makes for a great addition to any kitchen or dining room. Whether you have a small intimate space or need room for a large gathering, the Maine Cottage Table can be made to suit your particular requirements. A 36″ length x 36″ width table is shown here and is done in Ash with a polyurethane topcoat. The expandable tables can be lengthened with one or two additional leaves. Each leaf adds an additional 12″ or 18″ of table top to create a table that is 36″ wide by 48″ or 54″ or 60 or 72″ or 84″ or 90″ or 108″ long. Please specify when ordering. This uniquely designed table was built for a special client in Maine. The table design was inspired by Thomas Monahan and called “Emergence” in the 2008 Fine Woodworking Furniture Issue of 102 Contemporary Designs. The design was changed to meet the taste of the client and is shown in the pictures above. The choice of woods in these photos are highly figured American Black Walnut with a small amount of white sap wood to give it a distinct look. The Rock Hard Maple table legs are splayed inward and are also curved with a through mortise that allows the ends of the Cherry arch to protrude through. The arch is wedge pinned on each end with Walnut wedges. The top has a Cherry inlay giving a faux appearance of a through mortise from the arch below. The Cherry inlay is wrapped with a decorative piece of Birdseye Maple. This table can be made in a variety of other woods.

This Japanese style outdoor bench was built as a memorial for one of my clients. The Bench is designed to seat four adults. A removable plaque in the center of the bench back rest can be Laser Engraved with your loved ones Name and Dates. The bench is made from African Mahogany and designed to endure the weather.

The Monhegan tapered shelves come with solid wood shelves in a variety of heights for that special corner location. Two units can be placed side to side and be used on a flat wall location. A cluster of four can provide a 360 degree display. It is ideal for those unique items you want on display or for putting plants on. The shelves are open fixed equally spaced with and open back construction. The shelf supports gradually taper with larger shelves on the bottom and smaller ones at the top. The Library DVD Cabinet was designed for the Naples, Maine Library to hold their loaner DVDs. The case measures 32 x 28d x 26h. It was designed to fit under the book check out desk. The unit has three drawers mounted on ball bearing slides. Each drawer has three compartments with separators for the DVDs. The cabinet is on casters to allow the unit to be easily moved. The storage cabinet holds over 250 DVDs using the standard DVD cases (7 1/2l x 5 3/8w x 1/2d). The cabinet can hold 3-4 times this number of DVDs using the compact cases. This cabinet was made from Red Oak to match the existing cabinetry.

The Pemaquid Beaded six Drawer Upright Chest has the beaded edge detail on the drawer fronts. A classic shaker style door encloses a compartment with a single adjustable shelf. The large drawers on the bottom give ample room for small to bulky items.

The Pemaquid dresser has matching details like our nightstand. It comes in multiple drawer models to fit your space needs. The six drawer model comes with an extra deep bottom drawer for those bulky items. All of the drawers like all my furniture has solid Ash wood with dovetailing on front and the back of the drawer. A beautiful addition to a bedroom is our Portland Hope Chest lined in cedar. This chest with its matching detail of the Portland series can hold all of the memories. The chest comes in two standard sizes of 49 1/2″ wide or 61 1/2″ wide. The lid can come in either a straight or curve front. The lid is support with spring loaded latches to hold it in place when raised and prevent it from dropping rapidly when being closed. An optional shelf 17″ length x 20″ width x 4″ depth with small divided compartments can be added. The shelf compartment is removable and sits on a supports inside the chest.

The Portland style Lingerie chest is the perfect place for ladies to store their special personal items. This all solid wood lingerie chest is finished with dovetailed drawers and the back is fully finished. I offer two versions with different drawer depths and number of drawers.

The Portland Nightstand with the sturdy tapered legs has elliptical curved sides and front details at the bottom. The Oak model shown has a single shelf and drawer. Optionally a three-drawer model or a single drawer with a door on the lower compartment is available.

This finely crafted Palladian bed show here in Oak is made of a hand bent curved frame. Each spoke is hand fitted, and mortised into position to give the elegant radiance of a sunburst. Seeing the morning sun shining on this bed simply highlights its beauty and fine craftsmanship. The bed is straddled with matching nightstands.The picture shows the Portland style with a matching footer that is slightly lower in height. The bed does not require a box spring. Your mattress simply lies on the bed frame. The size of your mattress should fit in the bounds of the mattress area given below. If a box spring is desired the height of the platform can be adjusted. The header board is 44″ high and the footer is 32″. Optionally the Portland bed can be ordered without the footer or with a Maine Cottage style footer.

The Portland Paneled Desk is modeled from the original Portland Design. I have taken the original design and made each side a set of individual panels. The panels are book matched revealing a match grain pattern in each panel. The back is fully panelized that allows the desk to sit as shown or face into the room. The desk can be designed to come in a variety of widths and lengths.

This desk shown in the pictures is 36″ deep by 72″ wide and gives a large work surface to hold all the essentials for the office. An optional side extension (42″ length ) gives area for the printer or fax machine. Desks with the side extension have a shallow desk and file drawer. The extension can be ordered for either the left or right side. Of course you can have the draw configurations and sizes for the desk designed to meet your needs. Full ball bearing slide extensions are provided for all drawers. The bottom drawers accommodate a standard file system for 11 5/8″ wide folders in the lengthwise direction. The top drawers have slots for compartment dividers to partition the space.

A privacy screen is a nice way to divide a room or provide a decorative backdrop. This screen comes in two, three, four, or five bays. The 13″ wide x 45″ height opening is designed for you to place your fabric insert to match your decor. Spring load wood struts are provided to support the cloth material (not included).

The Portland Mission Monitor/Television stand is ideal for a small home theater system, bedroom or family room. The design sports an arched front and an ogee top edge detail characteristic of the Portland series. The piece shown here is made from Oak. The piece contains a shelf for a cable set top box, satellite controller or a DVD player. As shown in the picture the piece has a DVD player on the component shelf. The component area is sufficiently open and thus needs no special ventilation for most equipment. A back access portal is provided for the wiring to the TV Monitor and power. The stand contains a drawer to hold using ball bearing slides for DVDs or other accessories. The drawer is designed to hold over 72 average size DVDs.

The Quoddy style bed shown here in Birdseye Maple, complimented by the Quoddy Hope Chest, with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish that lets the beauty of the wood grain show. This bed can be made in a variety of other woods as listed below.This bed can be ordered without the Quoddy style footer. A Maine Cottage style footer can be substituted if a simpler look is desired. All beds come standard with a four-piece removable platform to hold the mattress. The bed does not require a box spring.

Optionally hardwood slats can be ordered as an alternative for the platform to support the mattress. Optionally the Quoddy Bed can be ordered without the footer or with a Maine Cottage style footer.

The Rockland End Table follows the Asian look found in my other Rockland pieces with the tapered legs and curved front apron. The End Table shown is made from Cherry and accented with Walnut. The top is made from Curly Cherry.

The Rockland Floor Lamp follows the design and style of the Rockland Series with a mix of Asian and Mission styles. This lamp has the characteristic arch at the top found on the Rockland Bed. The side supports are tapered and have Walnut inlays. The lamps have dual 3 way pull chain sockets and extra long cords.

The optional Cherry Shade with shoji rice paper is 10d x 20w x 9h and is priced at $100 when purchased with the Rockland Floor Lamp or $150 separately.

The Rockland Lingerie Chest is the newest addition to the Rockland series. The Lingerie Chest combines the beauty of thin crisp lines using a little Asian flair like the Nightstand. The piece shown is made from solid Cherry with Walnut handles for accent. The piece has five drawers with two that are extra deep. A shelf adds to the piece to display a special piece of Art or flowers. The back of the chest is made from multiple solid panels of Cherry. The Rockland Mirror matches the style and design of my Rockland series. This mirror as shown in Cherry with a Walnut inlay, has tapered posts and the distinctive top arch like my Rockland Bed. The mirror tilts and can be adjusted by the Walnut knobs on the side of the stand.

The Rockland Mirror comes in several variations. A wall model in available and is identical to the mirror insert on the free standing model shown. A floor model without the arch and a half height stand is available for those wanting a simpler design.

The Rockland Shoji Lamp follows the tradition of using authentic Shoji Rice paper. The beautiful combination of Cherry with Walnut give it a unique look using these different woods. The lamp has three light level settings, a low setting that works as a night light, a medium level for general lighting and a full on for those occasions needing a large amount of illumination.

All four sides provide a soft white light through the Shoji Paper. The lamp works well in the corner of a room reflecting light off the walls and ceiling giving off both direct and reflected soft light. The Shoji Paper is re-enforced with a polymer backer so it cannot be easily damaged. The Lattices with the Shoji Paper can be easily removed to access the bulbs.

There are six Edison base sockets that can use standard bulbs. CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) or LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs are required to minimize heat. The lamp comes with a 10′ cord so there should almost never be a need for an extension cord. All electrical components are UL/CSA approved. The lamp is shown with a Cherry frame and base and Walnut accents.

The Rockland Shoji Table Lamp follows the tradition of using authentic Shoji Rice paper and is the smaller companion to the floor model. This beautiful ten bottle wine rack and combined cutting board is perfect for those wine and cheese parties. It’s mobile so it can be easily positioned wherever you are entertaining. The Glass holder supports 12 large burgundy style wine glasses or 16 smaller fluted style glasses. The cutting board, made from Rock Maple will withstand cutting of cheese and meats with ease. The board is coated on all sides with a non-toxic sealer designed for cutting boards to protect the surface. A drip edge is milled around the perimeter of the cutting board to hold any meat juices.
