Retired No Longer taking orders

To all of my customers, I have decided to retire from professional furniture making and will no longer be taking commercial orders. After 13 wonderful years of creating fine furniture at Sebago Furniture, it is time to close this chapter and start another. I have very much enjoyed working with so many of you on various furniture designs to fit your life style. I have thoroughly enjoyed making beautiful things from wood that I know you will enjoy for many years to come. Arch Oval Desk

This is a brand new piece for 2016. The desk featured is made from highly figured Walnut on Arch style Cherry Legs. The elegant smooth lines give the piece a feeling of lightness. The contoured top gives full access to your work space. The top drawer section is curved to match the contour of the desk top. The top section is removable to offer even more work space. The drawer unit is made from Curly Cherry with Walnut sides and shelf accents. The desk legs have Purple Heart accent pieces. The desk sits at a comfortable 29″ height and is 50″ wide by 29″ deep. The price for this heirloom piece is $3,900. The desk will be on display at the Rockland Fine Craft Show at the Samoset Resort, The Guild of Maine Woodworkers Show and The Maine Craft Guild Show, both in Brunswick Maine.

Kingsize Rockland Bed in Tiger Maple

The Rockland Bed blends the tradition of American Mission style with a hint of an Asian architecture. It is what I call my East meets West design or Mission-Asian Fusion. This unique signature piece shown is made from solid Musical Grade Tiger Maple with Walnut inlays on the Header, Footer and Side Rails for accent. The Tiger Maple is virtually all white in color and simply shimmers in the sun light. Unfortunately these photos from a recent furniture show does not highlight the true beauty. New Arch Nightstand

The Arch Nightstand ( Copyright 2014, Sebago Furniture, LLC) compliments the look of the arch detail in the Arch Bed. The nightstand has a single drawer and shelf. Both features have a gentle curve on the front surface. The legs have a gentle sweep on the front and back legs. Under the shelf is an arch complimenting the sweeping arch on the Arch Bed. The nightstand is finished with a blend of natural oils. Additionally the top has several coats of urethane to provide protection from moisture spills. A beeswax top coat is buffed into the piece.

The nightstand as shown is Tiger Maple with a Cherry arch. The price is $1,750. Other woods available and priced separately.

New Arch Bed

The Arch Bed (Copyright 2014) offers the unique design of a cantilevered bed that is supported by a pair of laminated curved arches on each side of the bed. The headboard gracefully slopes toward the back to support your back as you read that good book in bed. The footer is a firmly supported rail to show off the beauty of the headboard. The arches are secured to the side rails and are design to carry the weight. The footer rail and headboard are self aligning and secured by bed bolts under the tear drop covers. The mattress is firmly supported on a multi-section platform. The platform sections have handholds to allow for easy transport and assembly and they serve a secondary purpose for electric blank wires or sleep control hoses. The finish is multiple coats of a blend of natural oils and topped with a buffed in beeswax finish coat. The mattress height is about 20″ using a thin eight inch mattress as shown in the picture Other mattress sizes are possible). King beds have a center foot in the middle of the bed platform that provides additional support.

The bed as shown is a Queen size in Tiger Maple with Cherry spindles. The price for the bed as shown $4,820. Pricing available for Solid Cherry, Walnut, Figured Maples. Other combinations of woods available upon special request.

New Rockland Round Shoji Lamp

The Rockland Round Shoji Lamp ( Copyright 2014, Sebago Furniture, LLC)) fills a room with a beautiful diffused light on all sides of the lamp. Its unique design also takes advantage of up and downward light through its open top and bottom. The lamp holds four LED efficient bulbs allowing for up to 400 watts of light into your room. A built-in dimmer under the lighting compartment let the light level to be set to the mood from a soft dim light to full on for reading and entertainment. A 10 foot cord helps eliminate the need to use an extension card.

The shade housing easily slide up to add or change bulbs.

The lamp as shown is Cherry with Walnut accents, but is available in other woods.

New Arch Lamp

The Arch Lamp ( Copyright 2014, Sebago Furniture, LLC) elegantly uses a bent wood arch to place lighting in hard to reach places. Its unique arch and cantilever design and handcrafted three light shade put the light almost five feet from the position of the base. This allows the lamp to e placed behind a couch or in a corner, but put light directly where you need it. Using three LED efficient bulbs (not supplied), the lamp can put out 300 watts of illumination. LED Bulbs can be full dimmed using the built-in dimmer. A 10 foot cord eliminates the need for an extension cord.

The lamp as show is Cherry for the base, column and arch with Walnut accents for the shade and feet.

This new lamp is priced for Cherry, Walnut and Figured Maple. Other woods or wood combinations are available as a custom design.
