The Quoddy Hope Chest is a beautiful addition to your bedroom to keep those memories and keepsakes. This chest matches the detail of our Quoddy Sleigh Bed. The chest has three raised panels on the front and one on each side. The raised panel detail show on the interior as well.The back is a solid flat panel. The interior is cedar lines top and bottom. The legs have a gentle flair at the base.The chest shown in the picture is made from bird’s eye maple with some spalting to give it some unique detail. The size of this chest is 47 1/2″ wide x 22″ depth x 22″ height. This piece shown is unique in design and available for sale at $2600.The Quoddy Hope Chest comes in two sizes as standard product and can be made in any of the wood type listed below. If a different size is required or you want to have a specific type of wood or use different wood types for the panels, please send us your specifications. Sebago Furniture will be happy to help you build your chest to contain all of your hopes. The Quoddy Hope Chest as shown in the picture above is on display in the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine from November 29th until March 14th, 2008. The piece was selected as a finalist in the Maine Wood 2008 contest judged by Garrett Hack and Beth Ireland.

The Quoddy style bed shown here in both Walnut and Birdseye Maple with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish that lets the beauty of the wood grain show. This Walnut finish has slight tinting mixed in to even the color while the bird eye maple finish is clearer to show off the natural beauty of the bird eye figuring in the wood. This bed can be made in a variety of other woods as listed below.This bed can be ordered without the Quoddy style footer. A Maine Cottage style footer can be substituted if a simpler look is desired. All beds come standard with a three-piece removable high density MDF platform to hold the mattress. Optionally hardwood slats can be ordered as an alternative for the platform to support the mattress. The bed does not require a box spring. The Quoddy  Birds Eye bed as shown is complimented by the Quoddy Hope Chest. The Hope Chest was selected as one of several pieces in the Maine Wood 2008 contest and will be on display at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine from Nov. 29th until March 14th, 2008.  The Quoddy Birds Eye Bed as shown is for sale at $3,600.  The Hope chest is also for sale at $2,600.
